Doors
The distance between you and me
These 2 large hollow core doors served as my work tables for year, accumulating inks, over sprays, overprints and random marks and layers of lines and pigments. From their time as a table, I’ve build layers of new marks and experiments in my explorations with materials and processes, building up spaces between the many layers. I work in the spaces between the layers so these pieces have been a side project that I’ve been working on and adding to over the past 8 years. I think they are finally finished.
Emergence
One of the first doors to come alive on its own. This piece traveled through my practice with stenciling, and layering it with various drawing pigments such as oil markers and graffiti markers.
