In my explorations of pigments and layers and working large, this piece focuses on chalk pigments that are temporary, yet leave a residue that can be built up. The lines formed between layers, create a matrix of play space for more pigments and cross over between mediums. This piece originated as a work table and was begun with the random yet overlapping marks and traces of materials and processes that I was exploring over the course of time between 2014-17.
